Com uma história centenária, o Vasco tem que se orgulhar e valorizar tudo que já foi feito pelo clube. Para isto, por meio do Centro de Memória, realizou no último fim de semana o I Encontro de Pesquisadores da História do Vasco. O evento foi realizado na sala de reuniões Carlos Alberto Martins Cavalheiro, do Conselho de Beneméritos, no Complexo Esportivo de São Januário. O objetivo do Encontro foi aproximar o clube de pesquisadores que se debruçam sobre a gloriosa história do Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama.

Estiveram presentes no encontro João Ernesto da Costa Ferreira (também atual vice-presidente do departamento de relações especializadas), Walmer Peres Santana (historiador do clube), Alexandre Mesquita, Alexandre Porto, Daniel Lobão, Ecio Salles, Fernando da Costa Ferreira, Henrique Hübner, Leandro Fontes, Paulo Murilo Valporto e Wagner Souza. Ao final deste primeiro encontro entre os pesquisadores, ficou acertado uma segunda reunião do grupo, que deverá ocorrer em março de 2019.

Nesta primeira reunião, os pesquisadores, ao se apresentarem formalmente, expuseram as temáticas sobre a história do Vasco que mais os atraem. O Centro de Memória do clube fez demonstração da dinâmica de toda as suas atividades, que contemplam a digitalização do acervo histórico do Cruz-Maltino, a administração do Tour pela Colina Histórica e a manutenção do Salão de Troféus. Foram discutidos também aspectos gerais com relação à história do Vasco, o alinhamento de pesquisas e produções futuras dos pesquisadores com o Centro de Memória.

A Tour pela Colina História, administrada pelo Centro de Memórias do Vasco, inclusive, vale ressaltar, ganhou um dia especial para deficientes auditivos, aumentando a inclusão social junto aos torcedores cruz-maltinos. A partir de agora, aos sábados, além do guia tradicional que atenderá o público em geral, existirá intérprete de libras nos horários de 9h e 11h. O Tour funciona de segunda a sábado, em horários pré-definidos, com grupos de no máximo 30 pessoas.

O ingresso para o Tour pode ser adquirido na recepção, localizada na entrada principal de São Januário. O agendamento para a visitação pode ser feito pelo telefone do Centro de Memória: (21) 2176-7390 ou pelo e-mail: [email protected]. Não há Tour aos domingos, feriados e em dias de jogos em São Januário. On a pitch that resembled a lawn, with the only patches of white near the rough on either side, Karnataka captain Vinay Kumar chose to give his batsmen first use of the pitch, despite their batting struggles all season. While it might be perceived as a brave decision, it backfired on the hosts. Karnataka were still searching for their first outright win, and they were presented with what looked like a result-oriented wicket. Delhi weren’t complaining though. Their seamers, led by Parvinder Awana, bundled out the hosts for 192 and ended the day in front despite losing two wickets as the shadows lengthened in Bangalore.There were only seven overs of spin among the 65 bowled by Delhi, rare by Indian standards and current trends in the subcontinent where it’s common to see a spinner bowling with the new ball. Ashish Nehra’s return gave Delhi the extra firepower on paper, but the momentum was with Awana, who took his second consecutive five-wicket haul.It didn’t take long for Delhi to strike, though Nehra could count himself lucky. Robin Uthappa went a long way across and the ball struck his pads, and after a bit of thought, the umpire ruled in favour of the bowler. Nehra didn’t get the ball to move as much as the other seamers, and preferred bowling shorter.A number of Delhi’s bowling manoeuvers brought immediate results, starting with Sumit Narwal replacing Awana from the Pavilion End. Like Nehra, Narwal struck in the first over of his spell when he pitched one up to Ganesh Satish who drove and edged it to the wicketkeeper Puneet Bisht, who took the first of his five catches. Awana too changed ends and the move worked when he beat KL Rahul for movement and sent his off stump for a spin.It was an opportunity for Manish Pandey to take on a leadership role with the debutant Kunal Kapoor, but he too didn’t last long, edging Narwal to Bisht who took a low catch falling forward. Another bowling change brought another wicket, when Rajat Bhatia replaced Narwal from the Pavilion End and had Kapoor edging to Bisht, who came up to the stumps. At lunch, Karnataka had lost five and thoughts went back to their decision at the toss.The only batsman who looked like taking on the Delhi bowlers was Stuart Binny. Post lunch, he batted positively, pulling a short ball to fine leg and driving crisply down the ground. A stable batsman at the other end would have helped Binny build, but the pressure increased when the last-recognised batsman in the line-up, CM Gautam, fell to a loose shot. He was let off by Mithun Manhas at first slip, but it didn’t cost Delhi anything when Gautam slashed and edged Awana to Bisht.Binny motored along to his fifty by whipping Nehra towards deep midwicket for two boundaries. He went on to make 61 before edging Awana to Bisht, who took his fifth catch. By setting attacking fields, Delhi never let the game drift. Karnataka would have expected the pitch to ease for batting after lunch, but the seamers kept the ball up, got it to swing and induced mistakes.Awana picked up his fourth when he trapped Abhimanyu Mithun in front of the stumps with a full ball and later rounded off the innings when he sent KP Appanna’s middle stump back by a few yards. Speaking after the day’s play, Awana said he had been working on an away swinging delivery, in particular the one that beat Rahul’s defense. Awana, who had taken a five-for in the previous match against Haryana in seamer-friendly Lahli, said the pitch in Bangalore had more bounce.Shikhar Dhawan led Delhi’s reply with some crisp cover drives off the front foot and put away HS Sharath for boundaries over the off side as soon as the bowler was introduced first change. Sharath, though, quickly shook off that wayward beginning when he trapped a watchful Unmukt Chand lbw, before having Mohit Sharma caught down the leg side. It was smart field placement that led to that wicket. A short fine leg was in place, the ball was directed at the batsman’s body from round the wicket and Mohit could only fend it straight to the fielder.

بتلك النتيجة، يجمع الزمالك بين الدوري والكأس للموسم الثاني على التوالي.

Com o orçamento mais enxuto, o clube não deve segurar a grande parte do elenco, mas faz um esforço para segurar alguns jogadores. Entre os cotados para ficar está o meia Gabriel, que pertence ao Flamengo, mas sem espaço na Gávea, deve tentar acordo com o time da Ilha do Retiro.
No dia 18 de dezembro, o Leão decide o seu novo presidente e as duas chapas concorrentes querem a permanência do atleta. A avaliação interna é que Gabriel foi um dos poucos que conseguiram se destacar ao longo do ano e pode ser uma peça fundamental na Série B.

O Botafogo pode perder mais um nome para 2019. Trata-se do meia Leo Valencia. O jogador, com contrato com o Alvinegro válido até o dia 9 de julho de 2019, teria entrado na mira do Colo-Colo. A informação foi publicada inicialmente pelo jornal “El Gráfico”, do Chile.

De acordo com a publicação chilena, o nome de Leo Valencia entrou na lista de pedidos de contratações para 2019 elaborada pelo técnico Mario Salas à direção do Colo-Colo. O nome do jogador do Botafogo estaria na frente da lista de prioridades para reforçar a equipe chilena em 2019.

Leo Valencia é natural do Chile e no país de origem, já defendeu a Universidad de Chile, onde se formou, e o Palestino, por exemplo. Eduard Bello e Gabriel Torres seriam outros alvos ofensivos para o time do Colo-Colo no próximo ano. Valencia ainda não recebeu proposta oficial e nem conversa por renovação.

No Botafogo desde o ano passado, Leo Valencia conseguiu uma sequência na equipe titular. Ao todo, já entrou em campo em 64 oportunidades e fez cinco gols. É considerado fundamental pelo técnico Zé Ricardo no planejamento alvinegro de olho na próxima temporada.

Planejamento para o próximo ano

O Botafogo vem seguindo nos últimos dias o planejamento elaborado para 2019. Com cautela, a equipe alvinegra vem sondando oportunidades de reforços no mercado – vale lembrar que já foram confirmadas as contratações de Diego Cavalieri e Gustavo Ferrareis, por exemplo.

Por outro lado, empréstimos e dispensas também estão sendo definidas pelo Botafogo. Além da situação envolvendo Igor Rabello, há outras possibilidades de saída, como o meia Leandrinho, que tem negociação avançada com o Sport – com uma definição sendo esperada para a semana.

Perth Scorchers have breathed life into the Big Bash League with an almost perfect performance at the WACA to crush the unbeaten Melbourne Renegades and keep their finals hopes on track. The home side’s much vaunted batting line-up finally clicked in the manner it did during last year’s campaign, combining for the highest total of the tournament after they were sent in to bat.Shaun Marsh and Herschelle Gibbs put together their second-best ever partnership of 78, only eclipsed by the 95 they combined for against the Renegades in Melbourne last season. That night, Marsh made a breathtaking 99 not out, enough to earn him a recall to the Test team. His form since must have made the twelve months seem like a lifetime. But tonight the confidence returned, although he played second fiddle to Gibbs early on.The South African had gone nine innings for the Scorchers without a half-century. Tonight he set the tone with some extraordinary strokes, moving around the crease to hit powerfully over both the off side and leg. Gibbs crushed 56 in just 39 balls with four fours and four sixes. Marsh was just 19 from 18 when Gibbs holed out off Aaron Finch.It brought together Marsh and Adam Voges. The pair combined for 82 in the Scorchers’ opening match against Adelaide Strikers and tonight they were even better. Their experience and skill yielded 106 runs from 60 balls tonight. Justin Langer had specifically targeted Thomas as a recruit the moment he took the Scorchers coaching role, and Thomas has repaid the faith with eight wickets in three matches at a single figure average (6.25) and a scrooge-like economy rate (4.91).The Scorchers sneak into the top four for the first time with their third straight victory while the Renegades fall from their tournament-long perch at the top of the Big Bash League table.
