Poucos minutos após receber a notícia de que Jô não poderá enfrentar o Cruzeiro no próximo domingo por conta de uma contratura na panturrilha direita, o técnico Fábio Carille praticamente definiu quem assume a vaga no time titular do Corinthians: Kazim, que fará a nona participação como titular desde o início da temporada em que marcou apenas dois gols. O jogador inglês naturalizado turco começou jogando no treino desta quinta-feira e fez um dos gols da vitória do time titular no CT Joaquim Grava.

Cássio; Fagner, Balbuena, Pablo e Guilherme Arana; Gabriel e Maycon; Jadson, Rodriguinho e Romero; Kazim foi o time escalado por Carille no treino desta quinta, vencido por 2 a 0 pelos titulares com gols de Maycon e Kazim. Diferentemente de quarta-feira, Carille não fez mudanças na escalação do time considero ideal, exceção feita à saída de Jô por lesão.

Nesta quinta-feira, Carille comandou um treinamento técnico em espaço reduzido e usou duas formações diferentes entre os reservas.Walter; Léo Príncipe (Mantuan), Pedro Henrique, Fellipe Bastos e Marciel (Moisés); Camacho e Giovanni Augusto; Pedrinho (Rodrigo Figueiredo), Marquinhos Gabriel e Clayson (Ameixa); Carlinhos. O meia Danilo foi curinga na primeira parte do treino e quatro jogadores nem sequer apareceram em campo por questões físicas: Vilson, Léo Santos, Paulo Roberto e Jô.

Durante o treino, um lance na área inspirou cuidados do médico Júlio Stancati: Rodriguinho subiu na área para cabecear, mas sofreu uma pancada na bacia e caiu no chão. Ele foi atendido e retornou logo depois aos trabalhos sem esboçar novas preocupações. Os trabalhos ainda contaram com uma bola na trave de Romero e foram obrigatoriamente de dois toques em espaço reduzido.

O Corinthians volta aos treinos na tarde desta sexta-feira e ainda treina no sábado pela manhã antes de viajar a Minas Gerais, onde enfrenta o Cruzeiro no domingo, às 16h, pela 26ª rodada do Brasileirão.

After a disappointing previous season that saw them get relegated to League One from the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday had a busy summer transfer window bringing in a number of new players on free transfers and loan deals.

One player that Wednesday signed on a temporary deal over the summer from Championship club Queens Park Rangers was 24-year-old winger Olamide Shodipo.

With 14 appearances for the Yorkshire club under his belt but just six starts across all competitions, Shodipo has failed to score a goal or provide an assist, which is incredibly disappointing for all parties and not what anyone would have been hoping for when he arrived at Wednesday.

In the ten league games he’s played in, Shodipo has only managed to rack up an average of 0.9 shots per game and 0.4 key passes per game, exposing just how little attacking impact he’s had on the team so far this season and that he may not be ready to play regularly at this level yet.

In a recent Q&A with Yorkshire Live, Wednesday journalist Dom Howson said that he would not be surprised if QPR recalled their player in the upcoming January transfer window and then loaned him out to a club where he would potentially get more minutes.

With Wednesday recently signing winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing after he left Middlesbrough over the summer, this would presumably only put Shodipo’s chances of playing regularly throughout the rest of the season in doubt.

With that in mind, it seems as though the best option for all parties would be to bring Shodipo’s time at Wednesday to an end in January and hope that his next step will be one that would be more suitable for his career development where he would get regular playing time to show QPR what he’s made of.

If Shodipo does leave Wednesday in January, Darren Moore and everyone else at the club will have to hope that Mendez-Laing’s vast experience of playing in English football will have more of an influence and attacking presence in the team than Shodipo has so far this season as they aim to win promotion back to the Championship.

يتطلع برناردو سيلفا، لاعب فريق مانشستر سيتي، إلى البقاء في صفوف النادي الإنجليزي بعد انتهاء موسم الانتقالات الصيفي لهذا العام.

وكان برناردو سيلفا قد ارتبط بخطوة الرحيل عن حامل لقب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز هذا الصيف، مع رغبة نادي برشلونة في ضمه.

ورغم ذلك، انتهى الميركاتو الصيفي في الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم الجمعة دون رحيل البرتغالي عن مانشستر سيتي.

وقال برناردو سيلفا في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “مانشستر إيفننج نيوز” الإنجليزية: “أنا من البرتغال وثقافتي مختلفة قليلاً عن ثقافتك خارج الملعب”.

وأضاف: “أنا أحب مانشستر والناس هنا لطيفون حقًا بالطريقة التي عاملوني بها في الشوارع والحانات والمطاعم، الأمر مختلف قليلاً عن المكان الذي أتيت منه وأحيانًا تريد أشياء مختلفة في حياتك”.

وواصل: “لا يتعلق الأمر بمدى لطف الناس هنا ومدى جودة فريق كرة القدم هنا، ومدى سعادتي للبقاء، لم يكن قرارًا صعبًا لأنه لم تكن هناك عروض”.

وأكد: “كان هناك عرض واحد من فريق واحد، ليس أكثر من ذلك، لذلك كان الأمر سهلاً للغاية بالنسبة لي وللنادي لأن العرض الوحيد الذي جاء كان متأخرًا للغاية، لذلك بالنسبة للنادي للعثور على بديل لن يكون الأمر سهلاً، أنا سعيد للغاية هنا كما قلت وسأبذل قصارى جهدي”.

وواصل: “إنه أحد أفضل ثلاثة أندية في العالم الآن على الأرجح لذا لا يمكنني أن أكون أفضل من هنا، إنه ناد أريد أن أكون فيه وأنا سعيد”.

واستمر: “الجماهير كانت دائما موجودة من أجلي ومنذ اليوم الأول كان الدعم الذي قدموه لي لا يُصدق وأنا ممتن جدًا لذلك، إنهم يعرفون أيضًا أنه طالما أنني هنا فسأقدم 100 % مما لدي لهذا النادي، لهم ولزملائي في الفريق”.

وأردف: “هناك احترام متبادل كبير بيني وبين جوارديولا، لقد تعلمت الكثير منه وفي كل يوم أتعلم باستمرار، لكن ليس هو فقط، الاحترام الذي أكنه لزملائي في الفريق والجماهير والنادي”.

واختتم: “سأبقى لهذا الموسم وإذا بقيت هنا موسمين أو ثلاثة أكثر سأبذل قصارى جهدي دائمًا لهذا النادي”.

JP Duminy has said that Graeme Smith’s absence would be felt during the Cape Cobras’ Champions League Twenty20 campaign, but it would also give others a chance to display their skills. Like his captain Andrew Puttick, Duminy believed the team’s sense of self belief was a strength, and if they get their basics right, they can overcome their inexperience in Indian conditions.”It will be tough to replace a guy like Graeme, but I feel we have enough depth in our ranks to seriously challenge our opponents,” Duminy said. “I think we have a very good skipper in Andrew Puttick who has good experience in the intricacies of the Twenty20 format. We just need to focus on our strengths and a good start will go a long way in boosting our chances in the Champions League.”Duminy said that facing different teams and conditions would hurry the Cobras’ learning. “It will be a new experience for me in terms of playing in India where we will be playing in front of a different sort of crowd,” he said. “While playing for the Mumbai Indians (in the IPL) I had a chance to interact with players from different parts of the world. But here I will be playing with the guys I have known for years. Whether it is for South Africa or Mumbai or for Cobras my aim is to help the team winning.”It is a big tournament for me, especially considering that the third edition of the IPL is going to be held in India. I hope to build a sound platform for the IPL by getting to know the subcontinental conditions through the Champions League.”In Smith’s absence, Duminy is a key player for the Cobras in all three departments. But Duminy felt that was no added pressure on him and that he wasn’t worried about expectations. “Here I have to adapt quickly to the subcontinental conditions as they differ from what we get in South Africa. I really feel confident about the tournament and our chances in the Champions League.”The Cobras will play their first game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 8, after two warm-ups in the city. “They (Bangalore) are a good side and that they had finished runners-up in the IPL shows their strength,” Duminy said. “They also have some very good players in their ranks like [Rahul] Dravid, [Anil] Kumble etc, but the Cobras are right up to the challenge.”

Na tarde desta quarta-feira, funcionários da CBF já iniciaram o trabalho para preparar a Academia de Futebol para receber treinos da Seleção Brasileira no fim de semana. Placas dos patrocinadores da equipe de Tite foram colocadas no local de treinamento do Palmeiras.

Além da exposição das marcas parceiras da CBF, evitando que o nome de outras empresas apareça em treinos da Seleção, o gramado já tem sido preservado para os trabalhos de Tite e não terá exercício de atletas por lá até a chegada de Neymar e companhia.

O técnico do Brasil comandará as atividades nos campos 2 e 3 da Academia. Com essa disposição para atender ao time nacional, resta a Cuca trabalhar somente no campo 1, onde há até uma arquibancada. Foi neste gramado que o técnico orientou as atividades nesta tarde de quarta-feira e a rotina seguirá assim até a saída da Seleção do CT.

Na programação divulgada pela CBF, Tite comandará na Academia de Futebol os treinos de sábado e domingo, ambos marcados para as 16h. Na segunda-feira, a Seleção treinará no Allianz Parque, e será no estádio do Palmeiras que o time se despedirá das Eliminatórias para a Copa do Mundo de 2018, contra o Chile, às 20h30 de terça-feira.

Enquanto a Academia de Futebol é preparada para recebê-la, a Seleção Brasileira se prepara para enfrentar a Bolívia, nesta quinta-feira, às 17h (horário de Brasília), em La Paz. A delegação vinha treinando em Teresópolis (RJ) e viaja para a cidade de Santa Cruz de La Sierra, na Bolívia, na noite desta quarta-feira.

Newcastle United already appear to need a minor miracle in order to maintain their Premier League status this season, despite becoming the richest club in world football following their Saudi-backed takeover.

Eddie Howe’s charges are currently sitting six points adrift at the foot of the top-flight table after failing to win any of their opening 14 fixtures, picking up just seven points from a possible 42.

It’s clear to see that a raft of new players will be needed in the upcoming January transfer window if the Magpies are to pull off a great escape, but attracting big-name stars to St. James’ Park at this moment in time may be easier said than done.

The lure of a relegation fight while playing alongside the likes of Ciaran Clark and Dwight Gayle is unlikely to appeal to elite-level performers, yet adding a couple of extra zeroes on the end of a cheque may just do the trick.

And, according to The Athletic, that’s exactly what Newcastle’s hierarchy are planning to do for Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

“Backed by their new Saudi Arabian owners, the word is that Newcastle United are willing to pay Brozovic ‘crazy money’,” read a recent report, and the arrival of the 29-year-old maestro could be the catalyst required to save their season.

In recent years, Newcastle’s engine room has been a particular area of weakness. Jonjo Shelvey’s inconsistency, discipline issues and lack of work rate make him a manager’s nightmare, while the Longstaff brothers have failed to build on their early promise.

Meanwhile, the arrivals of Miguel Almiron and Jeff Hendrick have failed to spark the midfield into life with the former scoring none this term and the latter only notching three times in his entire Toon career so far.

As a result, Howe must do everything in his power to convince Brozovic to make the switch to the North East of England over the coming months, providing Newcastle with fresh hope in their survival bid.

The Croatia international has established himself as one of Inter’s key stars since his arrival on an initial loan deal back in January 2015, scoring 26 goals and providing 35 assists in 262 appearances for the Nerazzurri.

He played a pivotal part in the San Siro outfit’s first Serie A title success in ten years last term, achieving an impressive 7.03 WhoScored rating for his 33 league outings.

The experienced campaigner recorded 1.6 tackles per game in 2020/21, 1.2 interceptions and 1.4 key passes, placing him in the top five for each metric when compared to his teammates, highlighting his outstanding ability both with and without the ball.

But Brozovic has long been a top-class performer. After putting in several eye-catching displays earlier in his career, former Inter boss Roberto Mancini lauded his prized asset, saying: “If Brozovic were to continue like this, he would become one of the best.

“We don’t want to sell him, even if faced with a great offer. He must work, but he has incredible quality.”

Therefore, Newcastle and Howe must end their midfield woes by bringing Brozovic to St. James’ Park in the winter window, providing a solid platform to build from and paving the way for other household names to follow.

Dessa vez, as camisas de Jô, Jadson, Balbuena, Moisés e Warian podem ser arrematadas pelo site Ídolos Eternos até o dia 24 de outubro. O uniforme é do mesmo modelo usado na vitória do Timão por 1 a 0 sobre o Vasco, no dia 17 de setembro, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro, quando o logo da AACD foi estampado no espaço principal do uniforme,

– A iniciativa é muito interessante. É um prazer poder participar de uma ação como essa. A AACD é uma das instituições mais sérias do mundo e o que a gente puder fazer para contribuir de alguma forma, a gente vai fazer. O Corinthians sempre está presente no Teleton e espero que essas camisas ajudem a vida de muitas crianças – afirmou o meia Jadson.

– A torcida do Corinthians é muito grande, então convocamos a Fiel a ajudar nesta campanha tão importante. Como nos outros anos, tenho certeza de que os torcedores ajudarão – acrescentou.
