تعرض فريق طرابزون سبور، للهزيمة مساء اليوم السبت أمام خصمه سامسون سبور في إطار منافسات بطولة الدوري التركي.

وتلاقى الفريقان في خضم منافسات الجولة الخامسة والثلاثين من الدوري التركي، حيث خسر طرابزون سبور بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف.

حصل سامسون سبور على ضربة جزاء في الدقيقة 14 من عمر الشوط الأول، حيث نفذها تايلان أنتاليالي بنجاح، ليتقدم أصحاب الأرض بهدف.

وشهدت الدقيقة 28 تسجيل الهدف الثاني من سامسون سبور، عن طريق اللاعب ماريوس موانديلمادجي.

وقلّص طرابزون سبور الفارق بعدما سجل إنيس باردي هدفًا في الدقيقة 32، ولكن زميله خواكين فرنانديز أحرز هدفًا بالخطأ في مرماه، ليتقدم سامسون بثلاثة أهداف.

وشارك المحترف المصري محمود حسن تريزيجيه في المباراة كأساسي رفقة طرابزون سبور، قبل خروجه في الدقيقة 60.

بتلك النتيجة، تجمد رصيد طرابزون سبور عند 58 نقطة في المركز الثالث، بينما ارتفع رصيد سامسون سبور إلى 42 نقطة في المركز الثاني عشر.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike has been linked with a switch to Everton this summer and renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has dropped a key update on the matter.

How old is Hugo Ekitike?

The Frenchman is still just 21 years of age, but is seen as a player with a bright future in the game, having already represented PSG, despite having Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar around to relegated him to the substitutes' bench.

Ekitike has made 33 appearances for his current club, scoring and assisting four times apiece, but it could still be that he departs this summer, rather than struggling for playing time at the Ligue 1 champions, even though he only actually signed permanently recently, after initially joining on loan last summer.

Everton have emerged as one of the front-runners to sign the youngster during the current transfer window, as they continue to look for attacking reinforcements. Their profligacy in front of goal was once again highlighted in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Fulham – Neal Maupay missed a number of good chances – and it is imperative that new faces arrive between now and the end of the month.

Up until now, the Blues have failed to reach an agreement with PSG over a move for Ekitike, and a new update doesn't make for great reading for supporters.

Will Everton sign Hugo Ekitike?

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Romano admitted that Everton are looking increasingly unlikely to sign Ekitike this summer, as things stand:

"Yeah, with Hugo Ekitike they tried the loan to buy option but, at the moment, there is still no agreement with Paris Saint-Germain. They wanted at least a €35m package for Ekitike and the bid was way below these numbers. So, at the moment, it’s not something that is easy, so let’s see if Everton will try again, but it’s a complicated dilemma."

It does appear as though Everton's pursuit of Ekitike is running out of a steam a little, and there must come a point when they walk away from him and look to bring in an alternative option instead.

The Blues can't afford to be wasting their time looking to sign players, given the need for attacking quality as soon as possible, so if an agreement can't be reached very soon, it will have to be looked at as one that got away.

Of course, should the situation suddenly change and Everton end up acquiring Ekitike's signature, it could be such an exciting piece of business by the club. Reims manager Oscar Garcia has waxed lyrical about him, saying:

"There is something very special about him. He’s young, and he has the quality to become a very good player. He’s a young man with a lot of quality but also a lot to improve on, but he works hard in training."

This outlines what a big talent Ekitike is, and what a long-term signing he would be for Everton, given his age, so the hope is that there is another twist to come and that the six-time capped France Under-20 international is plying his trade on Merseyside sooner rather than later.

Mashrafe Mortaza was their slog-overs hero this time, hammering a six off the second ball of the final over with his team needing eight to win. The win was set up by Brendon McCullum’s 43 at No. 3, and his 59-run partnership off 30 balls with opener Ziaur Rahman (36). Allrounder Ravi Bopara chipped in with 33 at No. 5 as Rangpur overcame the impact of Sylhet’s near-ten-runs-per-over carnage in the last 12 overs of their innings after after being put in. Sylhet’s sixth defeat more or less puts them out of the competition.Nazmul Islam, the left-arm spinner with the quirky celebration routine, removed Nurul Hasan, Nasir Hossain and Andre Fletcher by the eighth over. Are Leeds keen on signing Joseph Paintsil?

The Whites have done some good summer business in recent months, as they look to make a quickfire return to the Premier League after last season's disappointment.

Joe Piroe is arguably the most exciting signing to date, arriving from Swansea City earlier this week, while the likes of Karl Darlow and Ethan Ampadu have also arrived to boost the defensive options at Daniel Farke's disposal, in goal and midfield respectively, although the latter can also play at centre-back.

Another player who has been linked with a move to Leeds this summer is Paintsil, who has been an impressive performer for Genk in recent times, proving to be one of their most effective attacking players. The 25-year-old has scored 32 goals and registered 25 assists in 143 appearances for the Belgian side, also winning nine caps at international level for Ghana.

Now, a new update has emerged regarding the Whites' pursuit of the £9,100-a-week-earning attacker this summer, with time beginning to run out before deadline day arrives next Friday.

What's the latest on Joseph Paintsil to Leeds?

According to Football Insider, Leeds signing Paintsil could still be on the cards, with a fresh claim suggesting new talks are planned after an opening offer was turned down and that the attacker is keen on moving to Yorkshire.

"Leeds United will hold new talks with Genk over a deal to sign forward Joseph Paintsil, sources have told Football Insider. The Championship side have had a bid rejected for the wide attacker, 25, after being convinced they would meet the Belgian club’s asking price.

"It is thought that Paintsil is keen to complete a move to Elland Road. He can play as either a left-sided winger or an attacking midfielder and scored 18 goals in 39 matches for Genk in all competitions last season. Paintsil’s current contract runs until 2026 after he signed an extension last summer."

Leeds are crying out for more options in attacking midfield and wide areas this summer, in order to strengthen their Championship promotion push, and Paintstil could be absolutely perfect, in that respect.

The Ghanaian has already registered two assists in the Jupiler Pro League this season, outlining the end product he possesses, and he has played as a forward and in a wide role in 2023/24 to date, showing that he could even lead the line with Piroe, in a strong-looking strike force.

This versatility is an invaluable asset to have, giving Farke more depth across a number of positions, so there are very few negatives when it comes to Leeds possibly signing Paintsil between now and the end of the current transfer window.

He has been hailed as "superb" by football talent scout Jacek Kulig in the recent past, and considering he still only 25 years of age, there is no reason why he couldn't come in as a key player at Elland Road for the foreseeable future, hopefully playing Premier League football with them next season and beyond.

Aston Villa have been considering their options for the remainder of the transfer window, as manager Unai Emery eyes additional reinforcements before the market closes.

It was expected that Monchi would seal a reunion with his former player at Sevilla in Marcos Acuna, however, journalist Rudy Galetti relayed recent news that talks between the two clubs have “stalled”.

Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares was also identified as a potential target, however another name has now emerged, with Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso listed as one of interest in the Midlands.

Spanish publication AS claimed that Emery is ready to place a “firm offer” to sign the 32-year-old, who could be offloaded this summer due to the Catalan giants’ ongoing financial issues.

Should Aston Villa sign Marcos Alonso?

In Alonso, Villa could sign a player well-known in the Premier League following his stints at Chelsea, Sunderland and Bolton, however at 32 years of age, the veteran defender is nearing his sell-by date.

The Spaniard was once described as being “awful defensively” by BBC Sport contributor Raj Chohan, making Villa’s chase for him far below the buzz of the earlier arrivals this summer.

It wouldn’t be the first time that the Midlands club have welcomed a talent past his best from Barcelona, with the potential move having the capacity to replicate the disappointment of Philippe Coutinho’s move from Catalonia in January 2022.

The injury-prone Brazilian, like Alonso had some exemplary spells in the Premier League earlier in his career, yet has not been able to even remotely mimic the form he displayed for Liverpool.

However, unlike Coutinho, the Spaniard was shunned in the latter stages of his days at Stamford Bridge, and was far from being regarded as one of the best in his position.

The dip in the Madrid-born dud’s game is evident through his statistics last season, in comparison to those in his debut Premier League campaign for the Blues back in the 2016/17 calendar.

As per WhoScored, Alonso averaged 1.8 tackles and 1.4 interceptions per game for Chelsea in that season, averaging a stellar match rating of 7.39 per game.

The pattern was not replicated when revising his numbers last term, in which he averaged just 0.6 tackles and 0.5 interceptions per game at left-back for Barcelona, contributing an average match rating of 6.53 in La Liga.

Earning £100k-per-week at Barcelona and considering his drop-off in form at this stage of his career, Monchi and Emery could find a host of far-superior options to the veteran in the left-back position.
